It was a special time of joy for our Lord. The Scripture says, "Jesus [was] full of joy through the Holy Spirit." His disciples also experienced great joy as they shared in His ministry. He sent them out two by two into all the towns and villages surrounding the Sea of Galilee. They were especially impressed with the power they had over demons. But Jesus told them, "Do not rejoice that the spirits subit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." The disciple's joy is the joy of service; it is the joy of salvation; and, it is the joy of spiritual truths that the heavenly Father reveals by His Spirit.
Jesus told His disciples, "Blessed are your eyes that see what you see."
