Growing older is not something we can avoid. It just happens. But we can grow older gracefully. Peter offers some very wise advice--we should always be growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our senior years might just be the most productive period of our lives, spiritually speaking. We have more time to pray, more time to read and study God's word, more time to help others come to faith in Jesus. And especially so, we have more time just to praise the Lord. As heaven is filled with His praises, so earth can be as well. "To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."
