When the sixth seal was opened there was silence in heaven for a period of time. Now, when the seventh trumpet is sounded, there are loud voices in heaven, voices of celebration because the Lord God and His Christ have begun their reign. "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." This is the answer to the prayer we pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Some scholars say that this is the theme of the whole book of Revelation. It also reminds of the majestic words of Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus"--"King of kings and Lord of Lords, and He shall reign for ever and ever."
