The well-known saying is that you can't take it with you. However, there is another side to the truth: you can send it ahead. Jesus said, "Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven." There are a great many dangers to putting one's trust in worldly treasures--they can be lost in a moment, they can leave the soul in spiritual darkness. Our Lord encouraged us to "treasure up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." What are our treasures in heaven? And how do we store them up? Jesus gives us very helpful guidance in how to make the most secure investment ever for eternity.
